About Me

· Aristide Nkoumondo has been impacting Supply Chain development in Africa for more than 15 years. Born in Cameroon in 1973, Aristide Nkoumondo also known by his full name Aristide Brillant Nkoumondo, moved to France in the 80’s where he obtained a degree in engineering in Nancy and later on an MBA from Michigan State, USA.

· In years where most African were choosing to migrate to Europe and established residence there, Aristide Nkoumondo decided otherwise. His passion for Africa and Supply Chain led him first to Senegal where he moved in the 90’s to work with Colgate Palmolive. He will successfully and quite quickly climb up the rank from Industrial Engineer to Director Supply Chain in less than four years. During those years he will show his gifted production management abilities as well as a genuine passion for change and process reengineering projects.

· After a sting back in Europe with Accenture, Aristide Nkoumondo will come back to Africa for his second tour, this time with Nestlé in West and Central Africa where he will successively held the positons of Procurement Director for Central and West Africa and then Supply Chain Director. Within this tenure he will hire and develop many talents building up his legacy of a great talent developer.

· Aristide Nkoumondo will then be offered an opportunity to move East and lead the Procurement and Supply Chain of Diageo in that region. Over the four years in East Africa he will relentlessly continue to focus on development of young Africans as a way for him to give back to Africa. He will also change significantly the entire Supply Chain of EABL transforming it into one of the best within Diageo.

· In early 2012 after several years working in Africa, Aristide Nkoumondo will move to Cameroon his home country where he had kept strong ties, as End to End Supply Chain Director for Guinness. Cameroon is one of the largest Guinness Market in Africa and a key one for Diageo. Aristide Nkoumondo will turnaround the Supply Chain in Cameroon in less than a year. Guinness Cameroon Supply Chain will win several improvement and quality award and stand as one of the best in Diageo. Several theories have been put forward to explain his success in Cameroon, but one thing is clear, Aristide Nkoumondo' success in Cameroon comes not only from the quality of the team he selected and worked with down there but also from the blend between the team and his leadership style. Aristide Nkoumondo's unique leadership style is characterized by: leading through creating an environment where ideas flow freely, people can express themselves as well as feel happy and respected for their contribution. Creating space and possibilities for the team. There are no barriers within and among the teams. He easily can connect with people and change relationships and use this capability of increasing relatedness to advantage

· His career in Africa will stop in 2014 and Aristide Nkoumondo will return to France to reunite with his family. He has been living far from his two sons for several years and this return to France gave the family an opportunity to be together at last. After a little sting with INNOVO, an e-commerce start up, he will resume working with Africa as a Sub Sahara Supply Chain Director.

· Aristide Nkoumondo's dream which he pursue relentlessly is that by 2020, Africa has developed and established a sizeable pool of enthusiastic and high-performing talent within Procurement and Supply Chain. Africa is now seen by the entire consumer goods industry as center of excellence and a training ground for talent in Procurement and Supply Chain.
